1970 – 1985
The company, founded by Vakkas Katırlı at the Gaziantep Arasa Wheat Market to trade food products with neighboring provinces, soon became known as “Tekkeli” due to its proximity to the historic Tekke Mosque.
1985
Building upon its early success and regional reputation, Tekkeli Gıda established its first modern production facility, marking a significant step towards industrial-scale food production and broader market reach.
2000 – 2010
The company experienced steady growth and modernization, further investing in infrastructure and significantly strengthening its position in the domestic market through strategic capacity expansion.
2010 – 2020
Achieving a leading role in egg exports by 2018, Tekkeli adapted swiftly to domestic market shifts, focusing primarily on local demand and becoming the primary egg supplier for major national chains post-2020.
2023
Tekkeli expanded globally, establishing extensive partnerships and distribution networks, solidifying its strategic position, and becoming the industry’s largest egg supplier for national retail chains across Türkiye.
H1 2024
Tekkeli acquired a 50% stake in Egg Valley Gıda, significantly increasing its egg production capacity, and purchased Alpshine GmbH in Switzerland to enhance transit trade and financial positioning.
H2 2024
A Dubai branch was established to reinforce Middle East and Gulf trade activities. Additionally, a Venture Capital Fund was launched to optimize corporate growth, tax advantages, and financing options.
